File: README.TXT for Chartist(r) and Chartist-Pro, version 4.2
Copyright 2003, Novagraph(r) Inc. All rights reserved.
This file gives information not found elsewhere in the
Chartist software distribution.
1. Start Menu Cleanup.
We recommend that you uninstall any older versions of Chartist
or Chartist-2, or Chartist-Pro. If you did not do that, you may have some
extraneous entries on your Start Menu. You can clean them up
by right clicking on the menu bar, then choosing "Properties"
and following the directions in the dialogs.
2. Sample Files.
The sample files are located in the program directory. Under
current Windows versions, this is usually c:\Program Files\Chartist
unless otherwise installed.
3. User Manuals.
The user manual that is installed with the product is in HTML format.
You can display it with your browser. A menu entry is created with
the program for the user manual.
4. Web Site.
Check our web site, www.novagraph.com, from time to time to
see if there is any new information that might affect you.
5. Windows Version Differences.
Under Windows 98, and Me the size of a chart is still limited to 60
inches maximum in height and width. Under Windows NT, Windows 2000
and Windows XP, the maximum chart size is 300 inches in
height and width. The maximum printer resolution under Windows 98, etc.
is 1000 pixels per inch. The other operating systems have no such
limitation.
6. Additional Shape Definition Documentation
Refer to the file shapes.txt for some additional information
on advanced shape file operations.
7. If you dowloaded this program as a demo, the help file displays
an order form when you click on the "Order" button in the About Dialog.
You can also order on line from our web site: http://www.novagraph.com
